ESSEDB S.R.L., drawing on its experience and modern technology, recovers and enhances increasingly heterogeneous plastic fractions and prepares them for recycling.
STEP 1
All polymer-based waste collected and delivered to the facility is first sorted to remove impurities and foreign materials that could contaminate the recycling process.
STEP 2
After this sorting stage, the materials are compressed into bales for sale to industries that process the different recycled plastics into new products.
STEP 3
Part of the processed plastic waste, separated by polymer type, is treated at our facilities through shredding and grinding processes, reducing the material into flakes or granules that are stored in big bags.
STEP 4
This process produces a secondary raw material based on polymers, ready to be supplied to industries that process it and transform it into new finished plastic products.

PE (POLYETHYLENE)
Polyethylene is a very lightweight material and one of the most widely used materials in everyday life. It accounts for a significant share of global plastics production and offers high resistance to chemicals, water, saline solutions, acids, alkalis, alcohol and gasoline.
Applications: chemical industry equipment, waste bins and containers, coatings, sliding components and cutting boards. PE is available in different categories depending on its density, including high-density polyethylene (HDPE, PE-HD) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE, PE-LD).
PP (POLYPROPYLENE)
Polypropylene is an extremely versatile polymer whose characteristics vary depending on the production process. It offers good heat resistance, up to approximately 120°C, and good stability.
Applications: food-related products, bottles and containers for personal care and household use, carpets, garden furniture and furnishings. It is also used in the medical sector, for example in disposable syringes, as well as in household appliances.
ABS
ABS is a high-performance blend of resin and elastomer with excellent technical properties. It is hard, scratch-resistant, rigid and tough even at low temperatures, with good impact resistance.
Applications: packaging, toys, paints and coatings, automotive components, furniture and electronic products such as televisions and mobile phones.
PET (POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE)
PET is a thermoplastic resin belonging to the polyester family. It is widely used thanks to its electrical properties, chemical resistance, high-temperature performance, self-extinguishing properties and fast processing. It is also commonly identified by the abbreviations PET, PETE, PETP or PET-P. PET is suitable for food-contact applications and can be easily recycled.
